About this jar
This is one of the most collectible jars in our store, at least out of jars made in the last 100 years. Not only is it part of the cool kids crowd being a coveted 24 oz / 750ml jar, but we believe this jar is so rare and valuable because only about one-quarter of the jars produced (by Dominion Manufacturing in Canada) actually fit wide mouth lids. The other three quarters are just a hair too small and lead to one just infinitely screwing a lid on that won't stay put. Some commercial lids fit tighter than others and may work better than a standard canning lid on this jar, but we don't guarantee that any will fit. It's a quirk, but it is what makes the jar so special, and it is a beautiful addition to any jar collection!
Use with wide mouth jar lids ***AT YOUR OWN RISK, SEE PARAGRAPH ABOVE***
👍🏻All jars are guaranteed to be free of chips, cracks and rust, though vintage jars can have very slight "flea bites" in the rim that do not affect the jar's performance.
👍🏻This listing is for one jar, as shown.

Vintage jars are from the 1970s or earlier, with embossed logos and a lot of history. Modern jars are generally made after the 1970s, or are still in production today.
Every jar is checked for chips, cracks and rust, whichever era it's from.
Given their age, we have to assume these jars are used. Some have slight signs of aging, like small scratches in the surface.
Jars like these are perfectly dishwasher safe.
We don't actually give out canning advice because we're jar experts, not canning experts! You can visit FreshPreserving.com or Bernardin.ca. (Fun fact: Bernardin, Ball, Kerr and Golden Harvest are all owned and manufactured by Newell Brands, their parent company.)
No, we don't value or date jars, though we do love to see pictures of your collections. We recommend The Red Book of Fruit Jars by Douglas M. Leybourne Jr. for your jar valuation needs. Keep in mind that collector value and market value can vary wildly.
Keep checking back. We add new treasures every week! Make sure you're signed up for our email list and social media channels, as we often share pre-order opportunities and restock details there.
Sometimes, depending on the size and quality of a collection. Please email us a complete itemized list with plenty of pictures and your asking price.
