About this jar
A big, generous Atlas with an old-fashioned way of closing. Instead of a screw band, a glass lid sits on top and a wire bail clicks it snug. "Atlas E-Z Seal" is embossed on the glass, and the clear sides let everything inside show.
Fill it with rice, beans, sugar or flour and let it sit proudly on the counter. It also makes a lovely vase for a wild armful of flowers, or a home for buttons, marbles and vintage threads.
Pair it with its half pint sister for a matching set.
Good to know: this jar closes with a glass lid and wire bail, so it won't fit bands or modern screw-on lids. The lid and bail are included.
Every jar is one of a kind. Once it's gone, we never know if or when we'll see another one.
Chosen by a jar expert
"Every jar is one of a kind. Once it's gone, we never know if or when we'll see another one. If you're not sure which lid fits, just ask. That's what I'm here for."

Shipping is a flat rate of $20, no matter the size of your order. You'll get the best value by ordering more at one time.
We also offer free local pickup at our store in Fort Langley.
Vintage jars are from the 1970s or earlier, with embossed logos and a lot of history. Modern jars are generally made after the 1970s, or are still in production today.
Every jar is checked for chips, cracks and rust, whichever era it's from.
Given their age, we have to assume these jars are used. Some have slight signs of aging, like small scratches in the surface.
The glass jar and glass lid are dishwasher safe. Take the wire bail off before washing, though. It's mostly zinc, so it will corrode.
We don't actually give out canning advice because we're jar experts, not canning experts! You can visit FreshPreserving.com or Bernardin.ca. (Fun fact: Bernardin, Ball, Kerr and Golden Harvest are all owned and manufactured by Newell Brands, their parent company.)
No, we don't value or date jars, though we do love to see pictures of your collections. We recommend The Red Book of Fruit Jars by Douglas M. Leybourne Jr. for your jar valuation needs. Keep in mind that collector value and market value can vary wildly.
Keep checking back. We add new treasures every week! Make sure you're signed up for our email list and social media channels, as we often share pre-order opportunities and restock details there.
Sometimes, depending on the size and quality of a collection. Please email us a complete itemized list with plenty of pictures and your asking price.
