Both regular and wide mouth mason jar lids and rings will work great as Christmas ornaments, so go with what you have or choose the size you like best.
How to:
Step 1: Cut the paper to fit inside the mason jar ring.
Use a flat lid as a template to trace the size of paper that you'll need to cut to fit inside the mason jar ring.
You'll want two circles of paper for the front and back of the ornament, as it will likely twist and turn once it's hung on a Christmas tree.
Stick with the same paper for each side OR use a different design on each side, it's up to you!
Step 2: Add embellishments to the paper.
Write a Christmas greeting, add some stickers or use stamps to embellish the paper.
Step 3: Glue the paper into the mason jar ring.
Using a hot glue gun, make a thin glue line along the inside edge of the mason jar ring, then gently press the paper into the ring.
Step 4: Tie on an ornament hanger.
Cut your twine/ribbon/rope so that it will fit around the mason jar ring and create a good sized loop to hang on a tree branch. Take the cut piece and loop it around the mason jar lid so that the remaining length is even on both ends. Tie a knot at the top so it stays tight around the ring. Tie a second knot to secure the ends and create a loop.
