You can change your lid to any Mason Jar Merchant patterned or colored lid we offer by filling in the name of the lid in the space provided above the "add to cart" button. If for some reason, you don't see that option, just leave us a note at checkout or send us an email with your order number and the details of what you'd like to swap.

We don't offer swaps on our straws, but you can add an additional straw for just a couple bucks. Head to our straw section and find your favorite. Please note that some straws do not fit the grommets in our tumbler lids, each straw description will tell you if it fits or not.

Firstly, all parts are dishwasher safe!

There are a couple of special instructions though.

1. It's important not to soak the jar or the lid for any length of time, soaking the decals in water can loosen the decal adhesive and the lids can rust if left in water.

2. Canning lids will rust if left in water, but they do great in the dishwasher if you follow these simple steps:

• Take the lid and band off your jar
• Push the grommet out of the lid from the top down and place in a secure basket or over a peg in your dishwasher.
• Place flat lid on a peg or in a slot where it is close to vertical.
• Place ring with top side up in as flat a position as possible ensuring it can't flip over.
• Wait until all pieces, especially the grommet, are completely dry before popping the grommet back in the lid from the top down.

3. All of our straw options are dishwasher safe, but for the sake of your dishwasher you'll want to make sure the straw does not slip through your silverware basket. This could also cause a plastic straw to melt if it falls through and comes in contact with a heating element.

We use 24 oz / 750ml wide mouth mason jars as our tumbler base, so if you'd like any specialized lids or extra patterns or colors - just make sure you order them in the wide mouth size.:)
